Before you download the "Roll Your Own" installation package, you should ensure that you have obtained a copy of the Fedora Core 6 distribution installation media. Most Internet service providers provide Linux distributions on file retrieval server and can normally be found as a single DVD ISO image or multiple CD ISO images. Check with your Internet service provider to see if they have a copy of Fedora Core 6 available for download.

If your ISP does not provide a copy of the required Linux distribution, you can usually obtain a copy from one of the Fedora Project mirrors found here.

In most cases, the ISO images can be downloaded from locations similar to /pub/archive/fedora/linux/core/6/i386/iso/.
