Name Servers or DNS Servers are quite possibly one of the most overlooked aspects of the network when it comes to building an effective network security policy. Administrators often host their internal and external domain on the same Name Server (eg. Active Directory integrated DNS) which can often lead to them mistakenly exposing information about their network that makes the job of an attacker that much easier.
